Membership

As a member of the Massachusetts Breastfeeding Coalition you will be making an important contribution to advancing breastfeeding in Massachusetts. You can join as an individual, or as an organization, to make a difference in the lives of breastfeeding families across Massachusetts. Memberships run from September 1 – August 30.

ANY DUES AND DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE

Join/Renew:

Individual – $30

Non-Profit Organization – $60

For-Profit Organization – $120

WIC recipients, WIC Peer Counselors, Stay-at-home parents, and Students–FREE

Benefits of membership

Unlimited access MBC List Serve for information on upcoming breastfeeding events, contact information for MBC members across the state, unlimited ability to send messages and get feedback and information from the expert breastfeeding community.

Monthly membership meetings– meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of each month at locations around the Greater Boston area; during winter months, meetings are held by conference call. See [meetings] tab for dates and locations!

Breastfeeding in the Bay State Conference – Members receive discounted rates to this amazing day of learning, CEUs, and networking. See [conference] for more information.

Job openings, mentorship, and volunteer opportunities.

As a member you will be in the heart of breastfeeding advocacy efforts in Massachusetts and make lifelong professional and personal connections.

MBC Membership Values

MBC members will:

  1. Support the mission and goals of the coalition
  2. Assist in identifying, prioritizing and achieving coalition goals

MBC Agency/Organization/Business members will:

  1. Follow WHO Code compliancy requirements
  2. Be posted on the MBC web site and have a link from the MBC website to their website
  3. Assign a representative to be an active member in MBC

Active Board Members will:

  1. Support the mission and goals of the coalition
  2. Assist in identifying, prioritizing and achieving coalition goals
  3. Participate in monthly meetings and for additional meetings as needed.
  4. Perform duties as outlined upon election.
  5. Actively participate in at least 2 MBC events/sponsorship activities each year
